- Samidori uses high-grade tencha from Kyoto green tea leaves to create an exquisite variety of ceremonial Japanese matcha. It is characterized by its elegant flavor, refreshing aroma, vivid color, and low astringency. Each can is decorated with a unique Japanese design using traditional chiyogami paper. Nishide Seichajo is a tea plantation in Kyoto in the Zenjoji area of Ujitawara town. It is located along the banks of the Tahara River, a tributary of the Uji River, and has a long history dating back 1,000 years as the territory of Kyoto's great temples. Nishide Seichajo uses only matcha sourced from the Ujitawara and Zenjoji areas in Kyoto. Their special tea is known as "Kuwari" in Japan, which was the original name of the town back in the Heian period. Step back in time by enjoying a hot cup of premium Nishide Seichajo matcha!
